The Wait

Learning to walk a lonesome road has taught me four things:

  1. In a sky of a billion stars, there is still only one that shines as brilliant as the glint of an oasis in the desert. I never said goodbye…

  2. A man can bear the weight of the world on his shoulders as long as it does not ask for his heart. I’m still holding flowers for you…

  3. Your legs can carry you for what seems an eternity yet when you look back it’s only been a mile and there’s much yet to go. I never said don’t go….’don’t go’

  4. Love is the only respite that can mend a longing heart, that can fortify the shoulders bearing any weight, or heal the shaking legs tired from the journey thus far.
